Joanne Vanderhorst, OT Reg. (MB), Occupational Therapist
Area of Specialization: Occupational Therapy Services
Joanne Vanderhorst is an Occupational Therapist who joined the Continuum Consulting team in 2012; she has over 17 years of experience working within the vocational / industrial rehabilitation industry.
Joanne brings a creative, practical, holistic approach to her work with clients, insurers, and business partners. In addition to the more well-known occupational therapy services in this industry, Joanne’s creative approach to vocational rehabilitation has led to the development of new offerings including the Administrative Reconditioning Program and the Therapist On-site Program.
Joanne holds a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation Degree, augmented by industry-specific training for both Cognitive and Functional Capacity Evaluations (Matheson), Worksite Evaluations, and Physical Demands Analyses; she is a certified PGAP (Progressive Goal Attainment Program) provider.
Joanne is licensed to practice by the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba and registered with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Joanne is a member of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada and the Claims Association of Manitoba
Scott McPherson, Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant / Employment Specialist
Area of Specialization: Vocational Rehabilitation/Re-Employment Assistance
Scott joined Continuum Consulting Inc. in 2014, bringing seventeen years of experience assisting injured workers through the vocational rehabilitation process and six years of assisting injured workers to secure employment, as well as case management/return to work coordination.
Scott is highly skilled in all aspects of initial assessments, transferable skills analysis, vocational plan development, labour market analysis, earning capacity analysis, job search assistance, return to work, and disability management. Scott applies a holistic, supportive, client-centred approach to assist people to transition from disability back to engagement and active participation.
Scott’s background includes extensive industry related experience with the Workers Compensation Board of MB. Prior to Scott’s career at WCB he was employed in the transportation industry, construction industry, as well as the retail sector. Scott’s post-secondary education includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Administrative Studies, a Business Administration Diploma, as well as courses in Applied Counseling, Mediation Services, and Conflict Resolution.
Scott is a member of the Claims Association of Manitoba, Winnipeg Organization of Recruitment Coordinators, and the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada.
Grace Stevens, Sr. Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant
Area of Specialization: Vocational Rehabilitation
Grace has been with Continuum Consulting since 2002, skilled in developing realistic and attainable vocational rehabilitation plans that encourage and support an individual’s efforts to set and reach vocational goals. Grace is particularly effective in establishing and maintaining open and respectful communications with clients, and eliciting change through its relevance to individual value systems.
Grace’s education, training and diverse work experience provide insight and understanding that allow her to work effectively in partnership with individuals, medical professionals, service providers, employers and insurers. Grace is a member of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Manitoba and has volunteered on committees with the Claims Association of Manitoba, the United Way and the Human Resource Management Association of Manitoba.
Carolyn Titterton, Sr. Employment Specialist
Area of Specialization: Career Management and Job Search Services
Carolyn joined the CCI team in 2006 with extensive and diverse experience in both the public and private sectors. Carolyn’s strengths allow her to focus on the unique needs of each client to facilitate a successful return to the workforce. Carolyn is skilled in assessing Transferable Skills, Work Values and Interests, and developing individualized re-employment strategies that may include identifying and monitoring volunteer placement programs and/or refreshing administrative skills.
Prior to CCI, Carolyn was managing consultant with an international outplacement company, and held various positions with a national broadcasting company and a northern school division. Carolyn’s post-secondary training includes career transition and retirement counseling, group presentation/facilitation, and general business. Carolyn is a member of the Claims Association of Manitoba and the Winnipeg Organization of Recruitment Coordinators.
Tracy Cocks, Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant
Area of Specialization: Vocational Rehabilitation / Case Management
Tracy is a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant with CCI. Having graduated with Distinction from the Rehabilitation Case Management and General Case Management programs at the University of Manitoba, Tracy is currently pursuing a degree in Social Work with a focus on Mental Health and Addictions. Tracy also holds a Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
Associated with Continuum Consulting Inc. since 2009, Tracy initially served as a Research Analyst for Transferable Skills Analyses and Labour Market Surveys while pursuing her studies. This experience has allowed her to demonstrate her insight and understanding of vocational rehabilitation and case management. Able to identify and address often overlooked issues, Tracy is skilled at preparing solid TSA / LMS reports for insurers.
Tracy is knowledgeable and experienced with regards to disability claims and case management and is skilled at identifying untapped social, community and family resources and networks. Coupled with strong listening, interviewing and report writing skills, Tracy’s communication style facilitates the building of strong, collaborative relationships with clients, case managers and colleagues.
Always eager to advance her skills and knowledge, Tracy has attended a wide variety of seminars and including: ‘Taking Charge of Fibromyalgia’ (The Fibromyalgia Support Group of Winnipeg), ‘Managing Challenging Behaviors’ (Manitoba Psychological Society and St. Amant Inc.), ‘Building Good Medicine Bundles’ (Canada Research in Indigenous Knowledge and Social Work, Aboriginal Social Workers Society in Manitoba), and ‘Cortical Atrophy’ (Centre on Aging). Tracy is a member of the Claims Association of Manitoba,
