Transferable Skills Analyses (TSA)

Prepared by Employment Specialists Scott McPherson and Carolyn Titterton, reports may be based on a file review and/or in-person interview and consider the individual’s education, training and experience as well as medical abilities, restrictions and limitations. Assessment tools may be used to determine the individual’s values, interests and aptitudes. If indicated, additional testing may be recommended to confirm an individual’s physical, cognitive and/or academic strengths and weaknesses. The individual’s vocational profile and transferable skills are identified and matched to information provided by Service Canada and the National Occupational Code in order to identify suitable employment options. General labour market information is included. The ensuing reports may be useful in the claims adjudication process and/or to inform clients regarding potentially suitable alternate occupations.

Employment Identification Analyses (EIA)

Reports are similar to TSA’s, however do not consider medical restrictions and limitations when identifying potential employment alternatives.

Labour Market Surveys

LMS reports provide detailed information regarding specific occupations and employment potential. Information is obtained from selected federal and provincial government sources, CCI’s internal resources, as well as directly from employers. Labour Market Surveys may include salary information as well as samples of current employment postings.

Career Transition Programs

Carolyn Titterton and Scott McPherson, experienced employment consultants, coach employees through the job search process using a practical, business-oriented approach to help them find new employment quickly and efficiently — minimizing the stress of change and an uncertain future. Providing career transition services to an employee ensures the employee receives appropriate support and attention, helps address barriers returning workers can face, and gives workers the chance to take control of their careers and move forward in a productive, meaningful way.  This may reduce the likelihood of legal actions, while helping to maintain the image of the company as a good corporate citizen.  CCI’s programs are structured to maintain a sense of continuity, yet flexible enough to adapt to particular individual needs and circumstances.
